company, depending on your internal wiring. The most important word in General Manager is “general.” The
General Manager must balance the perspectives of all of his or her
direct reports, solid and dotted line. As you walk down the corridor
from the General Manager’s office, you will see the offices of the
Controller, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Operations, Service, and
Human Resources.
